Gruppo Mastrotto
Sustainability, next level

Over the years, we have created a business model that put the environment and the social aspects first; that inspires a sustainable development through targeted investments, constant attention to people to the production processes and to the impact on the environment.

“Sustainability, next level is a fundamental value for us. Our commitment for the environment and respect for people to build a better world for the new generations. Every day.”

Sustainability Report 2022

Our Sustainability Journey continues with the new Sustainability Report, which presents the results relating to the Group’s commitment to sustainability issues are divided into three main areas Environment, Economy and Social, in line with the ESG principles promoted by the European Union and with the objectives of the 2030 Agenda.

We have been on this path for years, striving to involve our stakeholders in an ever more active manner through a systemic approach that results in a wide-ranging and long-term Sustainability Plan.

Sustainability Passport

Sustainability is a journey

Traveling means choosing a destination, exploring new horizons, and facing new challenges. But traveling also means sharing, and when you travel as a group, you grow together in a path of mutual encouragement that helps you constantly improve and look ahead.

Likewise, Gruppo Mastrotto sees its commitment to a more sustainable future as a journey, and it has shared it since the beginning with its  stakeholders – clients, suppliers, and collaborators – in a new form of business model and relationship with the market.

REVIVA: THE NEW LIFE OF LEATHER

Another step in this journey is the patenting activity that gave life to “REVIVA”, an innovative material for the fashion sector designed to reuse scrap finished leather, thus completing the product’s circularity and giving value to the typical by-product of the tanning cycle.

REVIVA means “The New Life of Leather” because it is RE-CYCLE ennobled waste material, RE-NEWABLE finishing from renewable sources, RE-USE of scraps from finished leather and RE-DUCE reduction of waste production and CO2 emissions.

INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

In the light of constant management improvement within Gruppo Mastrotto, an organisational unit operates to enable differing but complementary sectors to meet:
Quality, Safety and Environment.

Integrated Management Systems is therefore the unit that optimizes the integrated communication of corporate processes and acts as reference for any goal, be it a problem or a suggestion, so that the appropriate action of corporate strategic planning can be taken.

The common points among the different systems will become Formal, Relational and Planning actions for the best achievement possible of the following goals:

  • Increase customer satisfaction: exhaustive and fast responses to the requirements of customers, complying with the standards for environmental impact, social responsibility, safety of products and of the workplace.
  • Appropriate strategic planning: it allows the company to consider all the important factors, according to its strategies.
  • Continuous improvement: integrating systems enables individual improvement to be shared and operated by others.
