Gruppo Mastrotto @ Lineapelle Milan | 20 – 22 September 2022

Gruppo Mastrotto Express, the largest in-stock leather logistics hub worldwide with over 40 collections and 1,500 available colours, the company is at Lineapelle, from 20 to 22 September at Fiera Milano Rho exhibition centre, to introduce the new Fall-Winter 23-24 collection. A collection that, like in a masterful blend, applies a combination of different processing techniques and brand new effects to the new leather selection, endowing items with extreme versatility in terms of use. As a matter of fact, the collection is characterised by leather featuring a rounded feel, good pliability, fresh looks and transparent finishes with deep chromatic effects.

The journey towards sustainability by Gruppo Mastrotto at Lineapelle continues with a new-concept stand designed and built by  Studio Milo, which not only exclusively contains materials developed through   specific environment-friendly research, but whose architectural structure concept also complies with the Gruppo‘s values: dialogue and exchange, not only conveyed through designing a space that is open, fluid and permeable on all of its three sides, and – not coincidentally –  renamed  “Agora”, but one that also enables you to create products always able to surprise  when it comes to look and tactile experience;   sustainability, which is not only recognisable in the design choices involving the stand, but has always dominated all of the  Gruppo‘ s decisions; innovation, felt as the essential driver of the company, in both products and processes; metamorphosis , seen as the ability to adapt to a constantly evolving market and that is expressed in the stand with spaces open to creativity, like in an atelier.  The original design was then carried out using select materials:

“Recomplax” sheets by Gees Recycling, for instance, created to reduce CO2 emissions by recycling fibre-reinforced rigid foam thermoset matrix composites, otherwise bound to end up in a landfill.  Siab panels, in raw and faced chipboard, which are the outcome of the ongoing pursuit of new and sophisticated technologies able to respect environment beauty.  The “Ostuni” finish used in the stand design boasts the Compasso d’Oro (Golden Compass), the most coveted Italian design award.  While Sikkens Alpha Unique is the water-based, low VOC (Volatile organic compounds) finish used for decoration. And, last but not least, aluminium, a material that can be recycled without losing any of its properties and be used over and over to make new packagins and other products.

“Sustainability has become the driver of our strategic and organisational choices – comments the President of the GruppoChiara Mastrotto. Our latest initiative inspired by this value is endorsing the United Nations Global Compact, the widest corporate citizenship international program. Also the making of the new collection and the design principles of the stand reaffirm our determination to carry on with our “Sustainability journey ».
