Fashions come and go. Style remains. This is the formula for eternal youth at Gruppo Mastrotto: fifty years of history, 2.000 employees, an annual turnover of 500 million and all-round production that covers all the possible applications of one particular material: leather. The creative heart, namely the style office coordinated by Chiara Mastrotto, is a breeding ground of ideas where experiments follow in the same, new direction that appearences have taken. The flair for Summer 2009 has felt right at home here for some time now, and it has taken on the shape of an aducated colour, the result of an alchemic versatility based on rules that are tried and tested. A vat of luminosity, set amid Apollonian splendour and heavenly angelic candour, entrusted to soft and gentle shininess and brightness. It is introduced by creamy, sweet and sensual whites, the raw material for metaphysical shapes that have a thirstfor non-colour. By way of a contrast, making tham less assertive is a counterpoint of fruity, vibrating accents that are agreeably sweet, transformed into aspects that are fliud, melted, mixed and exquisitely alimentary. In the middle, a palette of delicate face powder colours with a great whitened perception, veering towards sophisticated, mother-of-pearl iridescences. Glamour focused om metallic effects, dispensed in lots of different shades, from the quietest of the most flamboyant. Last, but not least, the harshness of silent and pleasant monochrome effects: a private luxury, elitistly remissive, the natural offspring of elegance. Real elegance, made up of subtractions. To be appreciated from up close.
