An international outlook
Gruppo Mastrotto was established in 1958, when Santo and Bruno Mastrotto with their father, Arciso, laid the foundations for what is now an industrial concern with over 2,000 staff worldwide and an annual turnover of more than 450 million euros.Commitment, creativity and professionalism have made Gruppo Mastrotto an international beacon of excellence in the manufacture of leather products for the furnishing, footwear, leather goods , automotive, ship and aviation industries. The Group has flourished in these highly diverse markets because of its constant technological innovations and its ability to anticipate new style trends. Quality, safety, concern for the environment, social responsibility and, above all, customer satisfaction: these are the objectives that Gruppo Mastrotto has been pursuing every day for over half a century.
Gruppo Mastrotto in Italy
Gruppo Mastrotto comprises seven factories and the headquarters in the leather-industry heartland of Arzignano (Vicenza), at the hub of the main tanning area in the world, in a district that boasts an exceptional service infrastructure network and is easily accessible from anywhere in Europe.
Gruppo Mastrotto worldwide
The Mastrotto brand has also been active outside Italy for over ten years, through the efforts of two Group companies.
Mastrotto Brasil was set up in 2000 in Cachoeira, near Salvador di Bahia, which has now been transformed into a new centre for the tanning industry. The company employs 600 staff, and specialises in the production of bovine leathers for furnishing and automotive applications.
Based near Jakarta, Mastrotto Indonesia is a well established, important industrial concern serving the entire Far East, focussing on producing leathers for the automotive and furnishing sectors.
Affiliated companies and organisations
Although well established as a major leather producer, Gruppo Mastrotto has also branched out into other areas, bringing the same professionalism and expertise that have distinguished its other operations worldwide.
Midac S.p.a., founded in 1989 and based in Soave (near Verona), designs and manufactures stationary and traction starter batteries in their entirety. The company has adopted an Integrated Management system, which combines Quality, Environmental and Safety certification with ISO/TS 16949 compliance, specifically for suppliers to the automotive industry. Focussing on efficiency and improvement, Midac has adopted the Lean approach in its processes, and has now established itself as an important player in the European market.
The Arciso Mastrotto Foundation is based in Arzignano and operates locally and in developing countries, promoting humanitarian initiatives to spread the values of community, tolerance and mutual respect. It works in a range of fields, from health to culture and education.
