Fiore

Lo strato superficiale della pelle opposto al lato carne è caratterizzato dalla grana si divide in

• pieno fiore, quando non riceve trattamenti che correggono o coprono il fiore (è rifinito completamente all'anilina);
• fiore corretto, quando lo strato del fiore viene asportato parzialmente mediante smerigliatura e la nuova superficie è ottenuta attraverso rifinizione.

Nubuck

Pelle la cui superficie è stata abrasa leggermente per creare un effetto vellutato.

Crosta

Il conciato che si ottiene dallo strato inferiore della pelle mediante spaccatura si divide in:

• crosta scamosciata o suede, superficialmente simile al velluto;
• crosta pigmentata, rifinita al pigmento;
• crosta al poliuretano MASPEL®, Bay Cast, ricoperta da un sottile film di poliuretano, interamente rifinita all'acqua;
• crosta rifinita, contenente una piccola quantità di pigmento e anilina.
